A goose down comforter’s price point is always determined by the quality of the down and not by its weight.  A down comforter should be used with a duvet cover in order to ensure a longer life.

Many people don’t know how to choose a good down comforter for their bedroom.  There are three main elements to look for when choosing a down comforter: baffle box construction, thread count and fill power.

Thread count is the number of threads per square inch of fabric.  It is best to select a comforter with a higher thread count will because the better the construction will be.

Finally, the fill power represents the amount of space one ounce of down takes up. Therefore, the higher the fill power, the better insulating ability your down comforter will have.  A good measure of quality and warmth is still the number.
