Petosky weddingIn today’s economy, many soon-to-be wed couples are looking for a unique and memorable, yet budget friendly, place to hold their wedding. Petosky wedding might offer a nice place for people to stay if they are attending a castle wedding in the beautiful resort town of Charlevoix, Michigan – a 20 minute drive from Petosky. However, there are limited attraction and event sites in Petosky for weddings.

A castle wedding in Charlevoix, Michigan boasts the Michigan Garden railway with different themes of flower and topiary gardens among the courtyard surrounding the castle which lends itself to countless exclusive photo opportunities.  There is also a beautiful indoor chapel that can accommodate small to very large wedding parties in addition to other places within the castle a bride and groom might choose as a special place to exchange their wedding vows.

There are a number of bridal suites within the castle in addition to large rooms for a wedding reception to be held after the wedding.  Many brides and grooms choose various themes for their castle weddings – which are not limited to the fairy tale Prince and Princess but could be anything the couple’s imagination can dream up. One couple had a circus themed wedding including clowns and for the reception, cookies made out of a castle cookie cutter instead of cupcakes or individual small cakes which seem to be all the rage these days.

A destination wedding would be a wedding held far from the couple’s home and in order to have as many people attend as possible, it is customary to send out the invitations at least two to three months in advance.  This allows guests time to prepare travel and hotel accommodations in addition to making arrangements for leaving work and getting a child-sitter if needed.

Not everyone can attend a destination wedding – because of work or money issues, however those who do attend the destination wedding will have the time their life helping to celebrate the bride and groom’s first day of the rest of their lives together.
