A company that sells catheter securement devices for those who have bladder control issues could increase their revenue by including an Internet website in addition to the real world brick-and-mortar location.  Today, more and more people are turning to the Internet to find what they need and want over all other media and that includes their local phone book, newspapers and magazines and television and radio advertisements.

 

A bladder control company that has a website could then place keyword rich articles on the website in order to attract the three major search engines – Google, Yahoo!, and MSN – which send out their “feelers” in order to find the keywords and keyword phrases within the articles on the websites and then rank the websites according to a special formula.  This process is known as search engine optimization or SEO and is a free and automatic service to every website on the Internet.  Keyword phrases and keywords are the words prospective customers place in the search boxes on the search engines in order to find what they want or need.  Having a high ranking on the major search engines is advantageous for a bladder control company because the majority of people who use search engines choose a website from the first few listings brought back by the major search engines.

 

The search engine “feelers” would also search out keywords and keyword phrases used in blog entries on a website that allows customers to blog about their bladder control problems in a safe and friendly environment.  This search engine optimization would re-rank the website according to their special formula on a daily basis based on the amount of keywords and keyword phrases used within the blog entries or keyword articles.  For example, a bladder control company website that contains blogs about bladder control issues may be ranked number 37 on Tuesday and then on Wednesday they are ranked number three because more people blogged about their bladder control problem and bladder control is one of the keywords the search engine “feelers” were hunting for.

 

Having an Internet web presence in addition to a real world brick-and-mortar location for a bladder control company would increase their revenue by bringing more targeted customers through the website and into the real world location where the majority of the business takes place.  If a person with a bladder control problem does not have to be fitted for a device, then they could purchase their bladder control items through the Internet and have them shipped to them discreetly and not have to deal with anyone in person, which sometimes causes embarrassment for the bladder control problem sufferer.
